Diving and Bottom Exploration
  • Information: Diving is one of the most popular activities in Lefkada, thanks to the clarity of the waters and the rich marine life. There are several diving centres in places like Nikiana, Vasiliki and Nydri that offer diving courses for beginners and advanced divers, as well as diving excursions to caves, underwater reefs and shipwrecks. In the dive sites of Lefkada one can see colourful fish, octopus and rare species of marine organisms.
  • Lessons for beginners: Approximately €60 – €80 for a half-day diving experience.
  • Diving trips for certified divers: €50 – €100 per dive, depending on the site and equipment included.
Sailing and Boat Rental
  • Nidri and Vassiliki are the main starting points for sailing and boat rental, with many companies offering sailing and inflatable boat rentals for daily or multi-day excursions. Visitors can explore the surrounding islands such as Meganisi, Kalamos and Kastos or visit secluded coves and caves of Lefkada. Sailing tours are popular for those who want to explore the Ionian Sea at a more relaxed pace.
  • Day sailing excursion: Around €50 – €80 per person for group tours, with lunch and snorkelling equipment.
  • Private boat or inflatable boat rental: From €120 – €250 for half or full day, depending on the boat. For a sailboat it can exceed €400 per day.
Kayaking and Canoeing
  • For more leisurely explorations of the coastal areas, Lefkada offers kayaking and canoeing at beaches such as Nydri and Vasiliki. Visitors can rent kayaks and discover small coves and caves along the coast or even visit nearby islands.
  • Kayak/canoe rental: Approximately €10 – €20 per hour for single kayak or €15 – €25 for double kayak.
  • Organized kayak tours: From €30 – €50 per person for a 3-4 hour tour.
Cycling
  • Lefkada has various cycling routes, ideal for those who want to explore the island’s hinterland in this way. The routes pass through olive groves, traditional villages and rural areas and there are cycling routes for both beginners and more experienced riders.
  • Bicycle rental: From €10 – €15 per day for a regular bike, while electric bikes cost around €20 – €25 per day.
  • Guided tour: Approximately €30 – €40 per person for a guided tour of scenic spots on the island.
