Nature
Lefkada, one of the most beautiful islands of the Ionian Sea, is known for its enchanting natural environment, combining green mountains and turquoise seas. The island’s lush vegetation creates unique landscapes, from the beaches with imposing cliffs such as Porto Katsiki, to the mountain villages and the olive and pine forests that embrace the hinterland.
Lefkada also stands out for its biodiversity, as it is a refuge for many species of birds and plants. The waterfalls of Dimosaris in Nydri and Cape Lefkatas, with its impressive lighthouse and mythical past, are examples of the island’s special natural heritage.

Waterfalls
The waterfalls are located about 4 km from Nidri and 14km from Miralis Apartments, they can be reached by car up to a point. The waterfalls themselves can then be accessed via a hiking trail. The hike takes about 20-30 minutes and passes through the Dimosaris Gorge. At the end of the trail are the waterfalls, which form small natural pools with clear, cool waters. During the summer months, many visitors enjoy diving into the waters, especially if there has not been a dry spell before, as the water flow is then reduced.
